GFWC Miosac Club celebrates 86th birthday, installs new officers

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Fifteen Miosac Club users gathered May 17 at the Bear’s Den for an 86th club birthday social gathering. It was the initial time we experienced all been jointly this year, and users liked appetizers though catching up.

President Suzanne Raymond known as the meeting to order and provided grace. The secretary and treasurers’ reviews were study. Corresponding Secretary Roxy McGlauflin read through two thank you notes from members.
There was no planned application but when waiting for supper to be served, Minnie McCormick read through a handful of objects from the House Hints Ebook (1951) that Hiawatha Grange of Farmington Falls had published. She also gave a handful of other humorous remarks. McCormick offered Raymond a reward in appreciation for all the support she had supplied sending messages to members and GFWC Maine messages as perfectly.
Pursuing supper GFWC Maine Corresponding Secretary Anne Cress carried out a candle installation of new officers: President McCormick, Vice President Wendy Hutchins, Recording Secretary Diane Leighton, Corresponding Secretary McGlauflin, Treasurer Cress, and Auditor Barb Austin.
McCormick presented Cress with a handcrafted ribbon increase wall hanging. The evening ended with users wishing all a good summer. There will be a birthday party someday in the summer time. Meetings will resume in October.
